While they are on opposite sides of the country, Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in New York and California’s Pebble Beach Golf Club have at least two things in common. They are both hosting the U.S. Open Golf tournament and they both now seed their greens with a weed that most of the nation’s golf clubs spent decades eradicating.

Penn State Lehigh Valley’s 2026 Teen Entrepreneur Challenge Camp brought together 21 high school students for a weeklong residential experience focused on entrepreneurship, community impact and hands-on business development. Through faculty instruction, industry mentorship and team-based challenges, students gained the skills, confidence and connections to turn ideas into action while exploring future educational pathways at Penn State.

The Penn State Small Business Development Center is celebrating three clients selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for their outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship in Pennsylvania.

Five women entrepreneurs pitched their businesses during the fourth annual LaunchBox Ladies Pitch Competition at Penn State Lehigh Valley, competing for funding while receiving feedback from a panel of regional business leaders. The annual event highlights Penn State's commitment to supporting entrepreneurship by connecting founders with mentorship, resources and opportunities for growth.
